To expedite the mortgage approval process, bring these items for application:

  • Photo identification
  • Social security numbers for all borrowers
  • Recent paystubs covering the last 30 days
  • Last two years W-2s
  • Retirement statement (pension/social security)
  • Last two months bank statements (all pages of statements)
  • If self-employed, paid by commission or rental income. Two years of federal tax returns (including all pages and schedules)
  • Fully executed purchase agreement (if buying a home)
  • Current mortgage, insurance and property tax statements on all property currently owned (primary and rental)
  • If applicable, signed divorce decree and marital settlement

If you are planning to build a home, additional construction loan documentation needed:

  • Signed builder's contract
  • Construction specifications/plans and drawings
  • Draw schedule from the builder
