Chairman of the Board

Stephen E. Zahn, Chairman of the Board of Directors has been with First Federal Savings Bank since May of 1964. Steve is a graduate of Marquette University.

Steve currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Peabody Retirement Community, Board member of the Huntington University Foundation, member of the Huntington University Finance Committee, YMCA Foundation, and Huntington County Community Foundation. In 1990, Steve was named "Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe", Huntington County's most prestigious award for community service.

With 46 years in banking, Steve has served as Chairman of the Indiana League of Savings Institutions, past board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and served on the board of the American Community Bankers in Washington, D.C.

Steve and his wife, Alyce, are life-long residents of Huntington County. They have four grown children and eleven grandchildren and attend SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where Steve serves on the Finance Committee.

Chief Executive Officer, President

Michael Zahn is the third generation of Zahn's to hold the title of President and CEO at First Federal Savings Bank. Michael began his career with First Federal in 1996. He became a Senior Vice President and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2000. In 2005, he was appointed as President of the institution and in January 2011, appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Michael holds a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University and graduated Cum Laude with a master of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. Zahn is a past President of the Indiana Banking Association, the local Optimist Club, Junior Achievement, YMCA, the Bowen Center, the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce, Lime City Economic Development and was campaign chairman for the Huntington United Way. Michael currently serves on the boards of the Huntington County United Way, Huntington County Economic Development and the Huntington University Foundation. He is also on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Indiana Bankers Association and serves on several committees for the American Bankers Association.

Michael and his wife, Susan, live in Huntington with their three sons.

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Cook joined First Federal Savings Bank in October, 2021, assuming the role of Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer.

Chris brings over 25 years of banking experience and 10 years of experience as CFO of another institution. He is also a Certified Public Account. He obtained a bachelor's of science degree in actuarial science and an MBA with a finance emphasis from Ball Statue University. Chris graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Madison in 2006 and earned his CPA in 2007.

Chris resides in Yorktown, Indiana with his wife Kristen and two daughters.

Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer

Thomas N. Mills, Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer, has been with First Federal Savings Bank since July of 2006. Tom’s primary role is to provide leadership to the business banking department members and to ensure that First Federal Savings Bank is providing excellent service and solutions to the bank’s business banking customers and prospective customers. Helping our customers grow, improve cash flow, invest in the future and build wealth, is a passion for Tom.

Tom has over 30 years of business banking experience and has worked with clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, investment real estate, agricultural, service, retail and wholesale industries. Tom has been, and continues to be, committed to Northeast Indiana and to the community banking model. Before joining First Federal Savings Bank, Tom served commercial banking clients in the Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and West Central Indiana markets.

Prior to beginning his career in banking, he attended Indiana University, earning an undergraduate degree in Public Policy in 1989, and an MBA in 1992 from Butler University.

Tom is a member of the Board of Directors for both Rotary and the Huntington County Boys and Girls Club. He was born in Huntington, where he and his wife still reside. They have two children and five grandchildren. The Mills are members of College Park United Brethren Church.

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Cindy Krumanaker joined First Federal Savings Bank in 1987 working in the Mortgage Department as part of the high school DECA program. Cindy continued working at First Federal Savings Bank while attending college where she earned her degrees in Accounting and Business Management. She became Vice President of Information Security in 2002 and later became Senior Vice President of Operations. Cindy was named COO in 2021.

Cindy has been involved with the Community in organizations such as the Jaycees, Huntington County Leadership, Love INC and the Pathfinder Foundation board. She currently is a Huntington Rotarian and past President and currently serves as one of the Rotary District 6540 Assistant District Governors. She also serves on the Knights Ladies Auxiliary Club as the Treasurer.
